Shelley Reid is a seasoned and highly regarded entertainment lawyer and business affairs executive. She has an extensive background in media embracing film, television, theater and news media. Ms. Reid has held a number of senior positions at a number of leading television networks and studios such as MGM Television, Scripps Networks, Disney Channel and Hearst Entertainment and Fox Television Studios. She represents the award-winning UK based production company Green Pavilion, producers of “Vikings” “The Tudors” and “The Borgias” as well as Caryn Mandabach Productions producers of the award-winning British television series “Peaky Blinders”.
Ms. Reid is a graduate of USC Gould School of Law with a M.A. in Social Ethics and a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy also from USC. Throughout Ms. Reid's busy professional career, she has been equally active in a variety of philanthropic and community activities. Ms. Reid is a former Governor of Otis College of Art & Design and most recently received the Otis College of Art & Design Annual Scholarship and Benefit Fashion show award for her many years supporting the college and as founder of the President’s Fashion Council at Otis College.
Ms. Reid is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, the Leadership Advisory Council of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel and BAFTA. She has served on the boards of a number of non-profit organizations such as the Saban Clinic f/k/a Los Angeles Free Clinic, the United Cerebral Palsy Research and Education Foundation. She chaired the American Cancer Society's California Spirit for three terms (the largest fundraiser in support of the American Cancer Society in Southern California) as well as chaired the Los Angeles Art Association's annual auction. Currently Ms. Reid is the President of Visionary Women, a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to helping women and girls.
Ms. Reid is the recipient of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel Founder's Award as well as the Century City Chamber of Commerce Women of Achievement Award. Ms. Reid is a frequent guest speaker for both educational and professional organizations with a special interest in topics relating to international film and television production across as well as mentoring and women particularly in arts, culture and education.
